SHOWCASE employs various methods of odor removal techniques.
First and foremost, if there is source removal involved, that must take place prior to any of the various ways to complete the final treatment of the process. Source removal can include deep cleaning such items as; Textiles, Carpets, Tile & Grout, HVAC (Air Duct Cleaning), Wall & Ceiling Cleaning, Drapes and Clothing.
We utilize a Flex-A-Lite 2600 ULV (Ultra Low Volume) Fogger. Wet fogging is carried out with the use of a cold fogger which sprays very fine particles of solution from the fogger onto the affected surface in a controlled manor which then disinfects and deodorizes. This can be used on all surfaces and furnishings subject to pre-testing.
Sealing is also used to encapsulate odor problems where we fog affected surfaces with a special sealant or encapsulate which seals the odor. This is only used in areas which are not accessible or it is not practical to clean or replace such as voids, attics, crawlspaces and loft areas.
Thermo fogging is different than wet fogging, the product is oil based, heats up to a dry fog enabling you to have far less residue to the affected areas. Resembling smoke from a fire, Thermo Fogging is used to simulate the smoke pattern so the product used which is highly airborne will travel the same pattern as the smoke did throughout the structure.
Ozone is a great product for removing trapped odors that linger even after cleaning and source removal. Ozone removes the odor by breaking down the odor molecules, bacteria and spores that cause unpleasant smells. Ozone (O3) is a highly reactive molecule which quickly reacts to particles in the air and on surfaces. The additional oxygen atom in the ozone attaches itself to other molecules chemically changing their structures to create non-offensive molecules – eliminating the mal-odors.
